Some mildly positive news in the economic front ... at last!

There is big excitement in the countdown to June 24^th, which is the deadline to present the nominees for the mid-term elections. The biggest question was whether Cristina Fernández de Kirchner will be running for a seat in the Senate of the province of Buenos Aires. If she does it will be the battle between the old and the new, and it could mark either the end of her political career, or alternatively, a big comeback and a huge setback for the Macri administration. Will she run in the end? The answer appears to be yes.

A few weeks ago, it looked like she wouldn’t. But now it's almost certain that she will, although not within the Peronist party, where now the candidate is her former Minister of Transport, Florencio Randazzo. Instead, she is creating a new political front with her closest allies where there will be no primaries and she will choose the candidates.
