What to expect from the agreement with the IMF

The Argentine government and the IMF continue to advance in the negotiations to enable our country to access a program under the Stand-By Arrangement (SBA) framework. In our opinion, the letter of intent would be signed this same week. The effects of the agreement on the different variables will depend on the size of the aid, the timing of disbursements, and the conditions to be set. As an advance, we expect that the more substantial impact will be felt in the sovereign credit market, that it will be moderate regarding the exchange rate and that it will not impact the activity and interest rates in the short term.
