Mortgages go marching in

Second week
April 2017

The government has been deploying many initiatives to encourage mortgage credit. Success has been immediate, and the origination of mortgages is accelerating strongly. Changes have managed to reduce installments under the new UVA (Unit of Purchasing Value) approach to a third of their fixed-rate comparable counterparts, and for them to be just above the monthly rental payment.

By consolidating this process, the lower and middle classes will be able to access into the housing market. It should be noted that according to INDEC figures, 50% of the people who live in apartments and 20% of the people who live in houses must rent because they do not have access to credit under reasonable conditions. In addition, there will be room for an improvement in housing quality, which explains the housing deficit that, according to INDEC, affects 25% of the families.
