Los dólares del campo vienen marchando
The harvest dollars come rolling in
Historically, the second quarter marks the peak for liquidation of dollars derived from agriculture. Starting this week we expect daily liquidations between USD 50 and 75 million, which will add to the USD 60 million the Treasury will begin selling every day starting in April. Soy and corn harvest have accounted for the seasonality of dollar supply in that timeframe over many years in Argentina for two main reasons: there were due dates for the currency inflows once the export was recorded and there were also exchange controls.
