Last week the Chamber of Deputies gave half sanction to the 2023 national budget. It is commonly called the law of laws. In almost every country in the world, the budget discussion is the most important of the year. There the government counts its priorities for the following year and the opposition has the opportunity to challenge that agenda and negotiate changes depending on the political forces of each party. It is the essence of the democratic process.
