The IAEF-EconViews Index of Financial Conditions (IFC) is a monthly publication indicator that seeks to represent, in a reduced way, the status of financial conditions in the Argentine economy. In simple words, the IFC reflects the availability and the cost of financing for the Argentine government, provinces, companies, and families.
Lower or negative values in the IFC show a deterioration or a higher stress in financial conditions. The IFC stems from the sum of two subindexes, one made of local variables and the other one of external variables.
