In its October report, the IMF again lowered its global growth projections for 2023, from 3.6% at the beginning of the year to 2.7%, the lowest growth rate since 2001 (except for 2020 due to the pandemic) as a result of the economic slowdown of China, the Eurozone and the United States; high international inflation and expectations of new rate hikes; and the effects of the war in Ukraine.
